I follow and teach the traditional Hatha Yoga method. I'm excited to encourage self-empowerment through yoga, building strength and improving flexibility, creating a space where students can truly release and relax, all while having lots of fun along the way!

WHAT IS YOGA?
Yoga has been around for thousands of years, originating in India. It is a whole body practice for the mind, body and spirit. Hatha yoga is an umbrella term incorporating most other types of yoga within it. 'Ha' means Sun and 'Tha' means Moon, while 'Yoga' translates as 'yoke' or union. Therefore the practice of Hatha Yoga is the unison of the Sun and the Moon or these energies within the body. It could be interpreted as uniting the mind with the body.
In terms of what to expect on the mat you will find a complete practice incorporating mindfulness techniques, awareness of the self, breathing practices, light meditation, strength and flexibility training and a fun atmosphere!
I currently offer weekly classes in Wargrave and Henley-On-Thames with new classes being added during the course of 2018. I also offer private sessions and currently have early morning availability, ideal for the commuter yogis!
My classes are a light-hearted introduction to the traditional yoga method while also being challenging. I treat each student as an individual and offer modifications in the poses to suit all. I truly believe yoga is for anyone and any body type!
